Potential safety hazards of toys
Toys are indispensable playmates for babies, but in life, parents and babies are often attracted by colorful new toys, ignoring the safety of toys. The quality problems of many toys are only taken seriously when an accident occurs, but it is too late to cause harm to the baby. Therefore, parents often feel confused when buying toys. What kind of toys are up to the standard?
As early as the 1980s, the European Community issued the toy standard EN71. China also has GB6675 Toy Safety, which has strict quality requirements for toy products. It has made different provisions for toys used by babies of different ages. After more than ten years of improvement, China has officially promulgated more than a dozen related standards, covering all types of toys. It also stipulates strict standard requirements for toy instructions and identifications, such as the manufacturer's name, address, trademark, age of use, safety warnings, maintenance methods, executive standard number, product certificate, etc., involving 12 items. When buying toys, parents should first check whether there are these contents on the package of toys, and then purchase them.
Plush toys are popular with children of all ages. Because of their soft texture, newborn babies can also play with them, so the international standards are stricter. Otherwise, when the baby bites, chews and picks up these small parts, they are easy to fall off and hurt the baby. In addition, when you buy a toy, you should pinch it with your hands to feel the texture. If you feel hard or big with knots or are filled with some inferior materials, such as metal chips, nails, needles, broken glass and other unsafe items, your baby may be injured when playing.
